The course is based on the prior knowledge of physics, chemistry and mathematics. First of all, we have to classify the materials. Next, you will study and understand the physical phenomena that occur in the material. The third objective is to find criteria by which we can estimate a particular property of the material. Well, the last objective is to get acquainted with the technology.

The main goal of materials science is to ensure the production of materials with predetermined properties. Thus, we need to find a relationship between the properties and microstructure of materials and develop a technology to produce required materials. It seems that the task is simple, but actually it consists of a large number of rather complex tasks.
